Deterioration of the land and environment will lead to
disaster in future years, making it difficult to break
the cycle of poverty. CDA’s program aims to promote
environment-friendly villages and practices for the
sustainable use of natural resources.
Focuses are on the following areas: informing of the
issues and consequences, alternative practices to allow
people to make a difference at grass roots level,
ensuring land rights and facilitating agrarian reform,
mobilisation and advocacy to demand good practices and
legislation to add enforcement and deterrent.
