Health

The Government of Bangladesh is placing focus on health care. However the output results are revealing huge gap between the required basic level of service and the reality. CDA initiates health program in three folds below and facilitates community’s accessibility to health care so that they can sustain livelihood.

  1. Tackle easily preventable causes of ill health through education and awareness rising.
  2. Provide primary healthcare services in the area of greatest need, namely maternal mortality.
  3. Address people’s access to government health facilities, either through the lack of accessible facilities or the lack of use of existing facilities.
  4. Develop people’s capacity for policy making which facilitate their accountability to public services.

Women with Disabilities (WWD)

It is estimated that about 10% of the population in Bangladesh is disabled physically and mentally. WWD project challenges the issues of mainstream participation for the disabled women through awareness building, advocacy and networking with like-minded institutions.

Village Health Center

CDA is recently opening Village Health Center in the place of Jon Sreejon Institute. The center will provide medical advice, medical treatment and any other education relating to health for rural people who are anable to access to public medical support.
