Employment Opportunities

Employment at CDA provides a real opportunity for those that are activists for poverty eradication and the empowerment of people. CDA employs a wide variety of skilled staff at both field and head office locations.

CDA does not hold a CV bank. Our latest vacancies are advertised in the local and national press. Alternatively please email or telephone our administration secretary or personnel department at Head office to request details of our current vacancies.

Current Vacancies:     Village Facilitator

CDA provides various oppotunities to work with us. if you are interested in these programs below please contact us freely:

Volunteers

CDA has also received volunteers from various international organization such as JICA (Japan International Corporation Agency) and VSO (Volunteer Service Overseas). CDA is willing to work together with those volunteers who can provide advice in the field of management, communication, ICT and any other else. It is also good opportunities for those who are interested in development sector to work with CDA’s experienced staffs.

Internships

CDA is able to offer a limited number of voluntary internships in which students and / or graduates work to support CDA’s program whilst gaining experience in the international development sector. This is an ideal opportunity for those taking a gap year of people who wish to work in the development sector and require international experience. Internships are normally 6 months in duration during which time CDA will provide food and accommodation. Interns are responsible to arrange their own passports and visa.

Please note that CDA is primarily a rights based organisation and unfortunately has no opportunity for people wishing to volunteer in a humanitarian sense (delivering food aid etc) unless they are suitably qualified to offer professional or technical support in such areas.

Study Tour

CDA is able to offer study visits for international visitors who wish to learn more about the development context through a practical approach including field visits and classroom study with our experienced staff. A normal project consists of 8 people for 10 weeks although CDA is prepared to tailor a course on request providing there are adequate people interested in participating. The projects are ideal for groups of students during their vacations, either as part of their formal education curriculum or through personal interest. CDA also encourages applications from older people who may simply wish to broaden their knowledge.

Bangladesh is a country full of hidden beauty such as the Sundarban forests, the home monkeys, deer and the Royal Bengal tiger, the coral St Martins Island at the southern most tip of the country or the worlds longest natural beach at Cox’s Bazar. CDA is able to recommend places to visit and details of travel agents to those that wish to combine study projects with travel.
