CDA's Achievements

Institutional:

  1. Developed organizational system and policies (Such as Service Rules, Financial Policy, Grievance Policies, Gender policies including different HRD Plans, Strategic Plan etc.) 
  2. Developed Planning Monitoring & Evaluation (PME) cell & Audit cell within the organization.
  3. Developed Well reputed Training Centers, Skilled Trainers and IT/Electronic Facilities. 
  4. Developed Enterprises to ensure sustainability.

 

Education & Cultural:

  1. Mainstreaming the Issues of Ethnic minorities through participation in PO model. 
  2. Formation of Cultural groups at village level.
  3. Established village Library and Information centre at village level. 
  4. Developed Non Formal Primary School and Junior School Certificate course for School dropout children.
  5. Established several village library and information centre.

                      

        

Social:

  1. Established the Peoples Organization (PO) as a poverty reduction model to this context.
  2. Built Social capital for the rural people.    
  3. Increased access to Khas land (Land owned by Government) by the Poor.
  4. Increased access to Public Resources of the poor.
  5. Formed a network of 20 NGOs on the issue of Agrarian Reform and Climate Change within 16 District of northern part of Bangladesh titled as People, Land & Agrarian Reform in Northern Ecological Territory (PLANET).   

 

Human Rights & Good Governance:

  1. Voice raised to Ensure 200 man-days employment guarantee scheme for rural labor to access food security.
  2. Introduced Convergence Mechanism as a participatory development approach to share and exchange development cooperation at the grass-roots level.
  3. Voice raised against corruption, violence against women & children by the poor & marginal people. 
  4. Increased access to Power Structure / Different Institutions by the poor. 
  5. Increased accountability of the Government duty bearers to the people.  
  6. Policy Influence at National & International level. 

 

Economic:

  1. Initiated various partnership projects with the POs such as Plantations, Fish culture, Marketing and other trades. 
  2. Initiated Women Entrepreneurship development at village level.  
  3. Initiated various IGA among the PO members.

 

Ecological:

  1. Developed Eco-Village
  2. Initiated Eco-Friendly Agricultural Farming practices.
  3. Initiated Agro-Forestry & Plantation.
  4. Demonstrated and Initiated Waste Management practices at village level. 

 

 

Technological:

  1. Developed village based Information Communication & Technologies (ICT). 
  2. Demonstrated various agricultural practices & implication of technologies. 

 

Policy:

  1. Policy Influence at National level,

b)   National Environmental Management Action Plan (NEMAP)

c)   Agriculture Extension Policy, Bangladesh
